Summary: Video cards were first developed in the 1960’s when printers were replaced with on screen visuals of documents, pictures and graphics. Since then they have evolved at exponential rates. The first 2D and 3D cards were developed in 1995 and from that point the world of video games exploded. Today games, movies and pictures seem almost as life-like as the computer itself. These video cards have almost made it possible to do away with paper all together. Who knows what the next 5, 10 or 20 years will bring!
This video series will introduce you to many popular kinds of video cards, which ones would be good for your specific needs, and how to install them into your computer. There are seemingly endless types and speeds of cards, so knowing what you need and what you don’t is half the battle.
