Drums are loud and mastering the drums takes a lot of time, patience and practice ... which is why good drummers are hard to find. A drummer is more than just a time keeper, the drummer sets the mood of the song, holds the rhythm section together, controls dynamics, and provides an element of creativity no other instrument can provide. But to do any of that, a drummer must learn the basics ... and then practice, practice, practice!
