Summary: RAM is an acronym for Random Access Memory which means the ability for a computer to recall any piece of data regardless of its location on the hard drive in any given amount of time. The more RAM a computer has the more information can be recalled at one time. A good example of this is when you open a program. Your computer is using its RAM to recall the information stored on its hard drive needed to open the program. The more RAM the computer has the more programs can be running at the same time without slowing the processor speed.

In this short video clip series, you will learn tips and information about how to determine if you require a RAM upgrade and where you can go to find the right type of memory needed for your particular computer. For the most part RAM can fit easily into any PC, but it is important to know what size RAM to buy and if your computer has room for the new stick. This series walks you through this as well as showing you how it is done.
