Summary: Body painting is considered to be one of the most ancient forms of art known to man. It is a temporary art that only lasts either a couple of hours , in the case of regular paints, or a couple of weeks in the case of Mehndi (henna tattoo). In most, if not all, tribal cultures the painting of bodies was a staple for religious and celebratory ceremonies. Since the liberal movement of the Western world in the 1960's, there has been a revival of body painting as a form of art and today there are both amateur and professional body painting festivals all over the world.
In this free video series you will learn tips and techniques that will explain the basics of what you can do to begin your own body painting either on yourself or on someone else. It will walk you through the supplies you should and should not use as well as forming ideas for your paintings. There are several demonstrations in the series that will visually show you the tips you are learning as you go. You'll be inspired to start your own painting right away!!
