Benjamin Hehn has lived most of his life in Northbridge Massachusetts near the site of a Native American Massacre that took place near his house. Much of his childhood was spent searching for artifacts of the Wampanoag Tribe in the woods surrounding his home. At an early age, he took an interest in wooden pipe-making and smoking, Native American hunting techniques, and the making of traditional instruments such as Native American Flutes or percussion instruments such as drums, xylophones, and maracas. He aspires to be a second or third grade teacher in the Boston area and incorporates his love of craft making into his lesson plans as a student teacher.
