There are some places downtown that have opened up recently. We have so many nightclubs, lounge bars, and casinos. It depends on what you are looking for.
There is an area in downtown called, Third Street, which is right across the Lady Luck Casino. There is some interesting renovations going on at Lady Luck and in the Fremont Street area. The city is injecting funds and opening up some establishments to try to create an alternative nightlife area downtown. They want to make it more laidback and offbeat than the strip. There is Triple George which is a piano bar and a steakhouse. The beauty bars are also located near that area. So downtown has an edgy nightlife thing going on, and it's more casual and informal than the strip.
There are probably more bars in this town than I have ever seen anywhere. There is a piano bar in the New York, New York hotel. That's really fun.
