Sports in Mount Dora, Florida
If you want professional sports, you would have to travel from Mount Dora to Orlando or Tampa.

Of course, there are a lot of local sports teams that you can get involved in. If you want to see any major events you have to either go to Tampa or Orlando. They have the Orlando Magic and Tampa Buccaneers.
I think Orlando even has a hockey team, but there is nothing like that locally that has that type of appeal. Of course, its just local ball teams, soccer teams and things like that for you to get involved in. There are lots of different types of recreation sports. We do have golfing. We have the Mount Dora Country Club. That has golfing. The Mount Dora Golf Association has golf. There are tons of courses here, but the Country Club in Mount Dora has golfing for sure. We actually have that on our site as well, but we do have a golfing guide that we can mail people as well here at the chamber. Of course we have tennis and all sorts of sports.
