How can Scientology techniques be used to alleviate pain?

There are different theories about pain and injury. You can help a being look at the present and guide their attention to help them with stuff. One of the things you can help them with is pain. There are little procedures you can do with somebody. A lot of them are called Assists, because they assist somebody right there in the present. You know when 9-11 happened, there were rescue workers working in bad conditions, long hours, and in traumatic situations. There were Scientologists that went down and they ran a food line for the firefighters or the rescue workers or the people that were cleaning up. But they also would do stuff like; ask people to look at something far away, and then another thing. It expanded their attention out. It can help someone more than you think. That’s the Location Assist. You get located. Volunteer workers did that for rescue workers. There are Assists you can do to help somebody with pain. For example, there’s one where you can touch someone on different parts of their body, which then puts their attention on different parts of their body, not necessarily the hurt place, or maybe the hurt place, but other places too. The way their attention is on their body, a person can experience some pain relief from that. You almost have to try them to believe them. You help a person put attention on different things. It just changes where their attention is locked up so maybe your helping someone put attention on the environment instead of on their picture, you’re helping someone put their attention on different parts of their body.
