Describe some belly dancing moves.

Learn how to practice belly dancing posture and arm moves.

Most of what you see on a dancer is legs and arms. I tell my class that in the beginner levels we'll have a 15 minute warm-up during our 60 minute practice. That begins with 10 minutes of arms and hands

and 5 minutes of posture. The rest of your body is isolated in the remaining time. If your upper body is not strong and you don't have graceful arms and hands, it's not a beautiful picture. It's very important, because the first thing you associate with belly dancing is the up and down and side to front arm movements.
