When you first construct a greenhouse, you should have no trouble with insects for a year or two unless you introduce a plant that has insects on it. Eventually insects will find a way in. Because you have
optimal growing conditions for plants, you also have optimal conditions for insects.
Be on the look-out for any abnormal looking plants or curling of leaves. Sometimes you'll need a magnifying glass, because insects may be very tiny. You could also take a sample into your like local extension office or colony personnel to get diagnostic help. Some states also have a master gardener program where masters help beginner gardeners out. Insect infestation shouldn't be a recurring problem.
