Why do plants grow better in greenhouses?

Greenhouses allow plants to grow out of season.

The majority of the greenhouse business provides starter plants for retail and consumer purchase. Pretty much anywhere in the Northern United States, during the end of the winter season just before the spring comes, there will be a month or two where a started plant will get a head start on the growing season for that year. There are greenhouses that specialize in orchids, vegetables, tomatoes, melons, or your own. Keep in mind that if you are trying to grow a plant, you want to replicate its natural environment giving it optimum growth.
