What is in the best material to use for a dance floor?

Dancing the night (or morning or even the afternoon) away has become a major part of many parties and events requiring the rental of a tent from a party supply company. In addition to that tent to protect the host and his or her guests from the outdoor elements, something must protect them as well from the grass or dirt underneath their feet. Sure, they can stand or sit for long periods of time on the basic tent floor—but what happens when they start to twist and shout or do the funky chicken in stiletto heels? That’s when the rental of a quality dance floor comes into play, and many party supply companies are ready to come to the party thrower’s rescue. Party supply company owner Keith Krantz has a couple of suggestions—and he should know all about dance floors. Krantz is the owner and operator of Grand Central Party Rental in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to his foray into the party rental business, he spent 23 years working in international sales. “There are some great dance floor companies out there right know,” he says. “There are also a wide variety of dance floors available. They have floors that have reinforced steel or wood bottoms that go together very simply with a locking type of set up system. Dance floors are available these days in almost any size to accommodate the needs of just about any sized guest list possible.” Technological advances have brought about numerous options in dance floors. Lighted dance floors are no longer reserved for the social elite. They are affordable for nearly all types of budgets. Nothing livens up a party or event like a lighted dance floor. Often the lights will flash to the time of the music, creating an even more exciting and impressive party flair. In addition to these fancy flashing dance floors, there are also other options available as well. There are the classic black and white dance floors. Do you remember them from the days of Fred Astaire? They not only lend a classic look to a dance floor, but an air of sophistication as well. Keith Krantz cautions against deciding too quickly which dance floor options to book when planning a party or event with a party rental company. He suggests consumers do their research. Going online is a great place to start. Gather ideas and suggestions and come armed and ready when approaching the party rental company. If they don’t have the actual dance floor requested, they will do their best to find a suitable—or maybe even a preferable option. “Be sure to check out all of your different options,” Krantz suggests. “There are just so many from which to choose.” So whether you tango, foxtrot, or do the electric slide—there are options as to what kind of a surface on which you and your party or event guests will tap your toes. Check out all the different kinds of dance floors available. Then arrange with your local party rental company to dance until dawn.
