Describe the new synthetic shingle made by DaVinci Roofscapes

The two new products that DaVinci has created are DaVinci Slate and DaVinci Shake. Both of these products will increase the life of your roof.

DaVinci Roofscapes President and CEO John Humphreys describes the synthetic roof tiles his company manufactures: "We have two products in our line right now. One is DaVinci Slate, which has been on the market for two years. The second is DaVinci Shake, which is going to be launched this month. DaVinci Slate is a shingle that is made from polyethylene polymers. It has fire retardants and UV stabilizers built into the tile, which makes the shingle both ductile enough to accept a nail on the roof and yet stiff enough to withstand the wind. It is very durable because the ingredients are based on plastics that have been in various kinds of outdoor conditions for 30-40 years. These shingles have a Class A fire rating, which is the highest fire rating given by the Underwriters Laboratories. With the addition of certain kinds of UV stabilizers, colors remain vibrant. We use a coating, like sunscreen, on top of the surface and we have the ability to color our shingles to taste. "

"The DaVinci Shake is shaped as a wood shake product. It is best described as a plastic with high-tech clay. It's lightweight yet malleable, just like clay. When it is obscured, which happens in our injection molding process, it can be as strong as clay and just as beautiful. You can beautifully shape the mold. It's a much lighter weight, which leads to a lower cost of installation; however, it is just as durable. We use different sizes of the general wood shake texture in such a way that it doesn't look like a manufactured cookie cut product. The price of the DaVinci Shake is about the same as the DaVinci Slate tiles. Typically, the cost of these shingles is $300-$350 per square. However, that is going to vary by market," Humphreys explains.

DaVinci tiles give customers the authentic look of slate or shake roofing while costing around 50% less and providing ultimate protection against the elements. DaVinci tiles are more desirable than other synthetic roofing tiles because of their thickness, multiple widths, and color selections. At ½ inch thick, their tiles are twice as thick as most other synthetics providing durability and more surface detail. DaVinci tiles also come in five widths, which give the roof a varied and authentic look. DaVinci Slate is also available in seven color blends including Castle Gray, Evergreen, European, Weathered Green, Brownstone Aberdeen, and Vineyard in addition to Slate Gray and Slate Black. Colors can also be custom blended by special order. DaVinci Shake is available in four blends including Autumn, New Cedar, Weathered Cedar, and Weathered Gray. In response to the tendency of other synthetics' color to fade over time, DaVinci tiles are protected with two layers of UV resistance. Both DaVinci Slate and DaVinci Shake carry a 50-year limited warranty.

DaVinci tiles are manufactured in Kansas City, Kansas, and are available to homeowners and contractors from distributors throughout the country. You can find out more about DaVinci Roofscapes, view photos, and request samples at the company's website www.davinciroofscapes.com.
