Information on sliding window locks

Adding a secondary security lock can prevent windows from being forced open.

Adding a secondary security lock can prevent the window from being forced open. What's nice about the sliding window locks is they actually allow for ventilation with the window partially open. So it clips on to the outside rail of the frame of the window. It can be placed a few inches away from the windows.


The window lock is a nice feature that has to be added on. It is not typically a feature that is standard from the window manufacturer.
