Do you have any recommendations on adding windows to garage door?

Do not use solid row windows on your garage door.

We do recommend that if you put windows on a garage door, you do one or two things. The first is do not go with the solid row windows. If you have solid row windows, these could break. We recommend that

you leave the two, if it is a double car garage, then you could put windows on either side of it. Windows generally come in just a single strength glass. You can also add decorative inserts to those in various designs. This will give you a little bit more character. You can have the windows tinted, so that you can see people, but they won't be able to see you. You can also put the window sections either at the very top or in the second section below, depending on what your personal preference is.
