It is good to be open towards these things. If you think back to your childhood days, none of this stuff was ever brought up. It is not looked at as a science in this country. Some people put the paranormal under the category of evil or hocus-pocus.
Any person will probably tell you, "You are right. I am spirit." If you look at God, is he a spirit? What are angels? The idea is spirit has negative connotations because of the way we are taught in our society. But if you ask anybody what happens when you die, most people believe we do something, we go on to do something, regardless of what religion it is. You have to realize that you are nonphysical. If you don't have a physical body, then what are you?
Once you realize that you are a spirit with unlimited potential, you realize that you can't solve your problems like you did in the past and like people do.
One healthy way to look at it and what I tell my clients is, if you know you are a spirit after you die, you must understand that you are a spirit now. It is not something that you become. It's something that you are now. It is just that you are also very much entwined in this physical life, in this physical plane. This is normal. Of course, upon the moment of death you simply disconnect from the physical plane.
