Dream Weaver is a web designing program. Basically it interprets programming language and makes it easy for you to make buttons and .com menus when creating a website. Instead of having to write the programming language to make something bold, you just click a button that says "bold" and it does it for you. It's very simple and user friendly and also allows you to manage your database, change pages, and update and set controls. It's a very powerful program when you get down to it and it is made for beginners and experts as well.

If you just want to create a simple web page, you can do that without much studying. When you get into accessing a server and making more complex pages, you will need to learn a little more about the program, but Dream Weaver comes with tutorials and templates to help you get started.

Dream Weaver is available for both MAC and PC and is the leader right now in web designing programs. A beginner might have a problem just getting familiar with the drop down menus, getting familiar with files and folders and how you organize and manage those. A basic familiarity with the Internet and FTP and how a website works and how people get information from a website will definitely help.

It's very important to map out the purpose of your website before you start creating it, plan your website on paper before you start. So, I guess one drawback of Dream Weaver is that it is so easy to create a website that people sometimes get started without the proper planning and end up with inefficient pages. You have to really take a step back before you create a website and think about the purpose and what it is going to look like throughout.
